see below for my "transformation". hopefully i'll have a new transformation soon that will make what I have look silly

there are alot of pictures in between, but i'll save you the time.
from my first rock arrangement and different colored lights, to.. now! still has lots of work.

My tanks

My tanks

In January, I bought a 30 gallon (first pic)and realized that it was going to be too small so in Feb I bought a 75 gallon (second pic). Just recently bought more rock (third pic) and ordered an octopus skimmer that should arrive on Wednesday. Then this weekend, I am building a 20 gal sump.

Only have one chromi, 3 peppermint shrimp and a turbo snail right now.

ramtmac i like the 3rd arrangement. if you plan on doing SPS that will have plenty of growout space and even room for tablers

Westberry what happened to the background on third pic. I never thought id like pictures in background so i just got plain blue. But yours made me think otherwise. real nice..
and thanks mutateddogbone i like third best too. You have no pics ?

Here's my mixed 90 from about 5 months back, it is an upgrade from my previous 55. There has been a few other corals added since these were taken inc a huge green pineapple brain.

I had to take the background down because over the weekend, my HOB protein skimmer was getting water between the glass and the background. Since I ordered the new skimmer I am just going to wait until I set up everything in the sump.

Funny you mentioned, I was considering buying one of those backgrounds that have blue on one side and black on the other, so I can change it around when I want to give the tank a different look.

On another note, I must say I like your rock work too. I am still trying to arrange mine but I am having trouble balancing them all.

Some of this pictures are a bit old but...

A fairly new picture of my 75, the pic is a bit on the dark side,

Really need to get an updated one of my 33 -- the Haddoni on the right is now in my 75.

The heaters and hob filter are gone, but I don't have any updated pics

dmyers, gorgeous tank. love your aquascaping

+1 on that I relize I'm new and that it takes time in this hobby to get there but there are lots of wonderful ideas out there on what it could look like and be. The only problem is I have to fight the urge to redo mine every time :-)

Mine about 6 months ago. I will post update tomorrow. The red monti has almost trippled in size as well as alot of other good growth.

Dmyers i love the aquascaping. Want some of those corals now

wow jenjen nice upgrade. I've only had my tank for a short time and already want to upgrade.

Tomstank, i like the second arrangement better. Many people told me to keep the rocks against the glass because it is hard to clean. I thought i did a good job doing that but now i see why. Got algea that i can not get too. :mad2: But to make you feel better i rearranged my rocks like 20 times.
