Do you know if they build rim-less tanks?

Yes, they do. They built mine for which i'm currently in the building process. My tank is 36x24x22 tall. Rimless with starphire on 3 sides.

my almost done half way gone i can taste and see the end fish room

I notice quite a few of you have your TVs up high on the wall or cabinet. Isn't that an issue when viewing them? I'm curious because I have a regular one that sits on the floor, rather than a pretty LCD/Plasma.

My tv is only as high as it is b/c we bought the stand used from our next door neighbor. The inside holds all of the equipment (receiver, satellite, music, etc...) and I don't like all that stuff showing. We didn't need a stand quite that high, but hey, got a good deal on it. IMO flat screens look better a little higher up, just not as high as mine is. But, to answer your question, is it an issue? was at first, but we learn to live w/ it

Hmm...looking at this photo I need to decorate a bit. That looks pretty barren (except for the tank, I suppose). The wall directly above the tank opens, so I can't hang anything on there....maybe I could put some sort of mural on there...

Unfortunately, I'm no artist...

It is certainly an improvement from where I started...

Not at all Marc. We hve a mounting bracket that tilts the display so it's slightly tilted downward. The open kitchen is right behind the room so we can watch tank and TV from all angles. Plus if it still too high for you the your can power recline the berkline chairs.

From a chiropractic point of view, a higher wall mounted TV is much better for your neck posture too. Too often we sit on our couches with slouched backs looking down at the TV. This destroys the natural curvatures of the spine and increases the rate of spinal degeneration and likely hood of spinal nerve related pain. So, move your TV up for better health.

That's right, you can tell your wife a new wall mounted plasma is better for your spine!!! :D

Oh and don't forget to add that a digital projector can also be used as a substitute like Red Sea Purple Tang has done!!!

Nothing better to relieve eye stain than a 90 inch digital image... :D

Aircraft cable and ceiling anchors... When I say ceiling anchors I mean large bolts that run through the ceiling into the floor above where they are run through large steel plates. Little over kill, but so worth it... :p

Actually, I can already see "How to hang my 60 inch rear projection off my wall" becoming the #1 DIY thread...

So how do I hang this thing off my wall?

I like the mirror. Two tanks for the price of one!
