What does your tank room look like?

Tom,

What size sump & refugium do you have running?

Also, what are the gray bands I see on the flex tubing? Clamps to hold it on normal PVC?

Very Clean Set-up all together.

Sixxer...sump measures 48"L x 24"W x 18"H and it runs about 1/3 deep with water. The main pump is a Dolphin 4700. I have about 12' of head distance to the upstairs. The pump is awesome and has been great! The grey bands (clips) came from aquatic ecosystems. They work very well and are nice for if you ever need to undo the pipes they just unclip. They come in different sizes. They are on this page http://www.aquaticeco.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/listings.categories/ssid/316

Thanks for the info Tom.

I bet your tank provides a great "Wow" Factor to people visiting your home for the 1st time.

Yeah, it is a conversation piece. It was funny, when we first were building the house, people would tour the house as kind of a model. Getting ideas ect for their own homes. The house got nicknamed the "fish house" in the area for most people hadn't seen anything quite like it. I still laugh about it.

Hey Sixxer...I've followed alot of your post from years back. How's your tank doing?

Wildthing...I think the main gorg is Eunicea sp. and I also have some sea blades. I've had many of them for 6-8 years.

Tore down the 300 gallon, still working on getting the 600 gallon trimmed out/plumbed/running

Hopefully it will turn out as nicely as yours did.

Nice to see this thread is alive again. Keep them comming.

Hey mille, what kind of beer do you keep in the beer tap. I love mine, it helps take the edge off after comming home from work.

Tom, took 2 days for my dialup to load the pics:) J/K:)
The fish in your tank are beautiful.
How many fish would you say I could keep in my 125?
I am not interested in the tangs other then the yellow or any of the larger growing fish. I like the damsels and clowns and such.
What do you think?
Also I dont not have a sump or fuge but do have a good hang on skimmer.
Just wondering.
Right now I have 10 fish.

Finding Nemo I don't really like questions like this for I don't really know alot about your system, water quality, maintenance schedule, your likes and dislikes of fish ect, ect, ect. There is more to adding a bunch of fish to any system and each system has it's own strengths and weakness's. In honesty I really don't recommend overloading a system like I have. Too many issues to worry about. As you mentioned damsels and clowns really don't coincide together in groups the best in home aquaria unless you have a very large system. One thing I have found is that adding more load to any tank requires more time, more effort and more money.

Thanks Tom. I think I am at my limit anyway as there is plenty of swimming room and all get along great right now.
So will stick with what I have, and your right, depends on allot of different things.
But I sure would love to the have life in my tank that you have in yours, it actually looks like you are snorkling just under the oceans waves and looking down at a reaf.
Just amazing.
Thanks.

Big 10-4 on that one!!!

Lpabsolute, I love the room! What is the Wattage on that metal halide?

Tom. Seriously. I love my hard corals, but your tankk just looks so natural! The thing is that you see plenty of tanks that are cramed with sps and look great, you rarely see a tank that looks like yours. It really shows the beauty of softies. Can I fly out??

LOL!! NICE!
