What does your tank room look like?

Nemo - It's oak with a cherry stain. It took me about a month to build. If you look in my gallery there are other pictures that show the fuge and how the hood opens. Thanks for the compliment!

Will take a look, it is a beautiful room and the colors are very rich.
I am thinking about painting my tank room a different color besides off white. The whole house was just painted when I bought it last year and I love the off white but would like a pretty color for the fish room.
Nothing dark but something cheery.
Any suggestions?

Ok - so it's been a long time since I put mine in here. New TV and cabinet and some new pictures, but otherwise pretty similar.

Where did you get your clock that is above the TV? We have been looking for one like it for quite a while now. By the way great rooms, I love the height of the ceilings.

Thanks...

That clock was hand made by my great, great, great grandfather in Tuscany. It was chiseled from a solid chunk of marble. Those numbers are inlayed black italian marble. The hands of the clock were made from the melted horseshoes of the winner of the 1898 Sono Pieno di Merda - the Italian equivilent of the Kentucky Derby.

Ok, so back on page (5) of this thread (half way down) I posted pictures of my 30 gallon which was being replaced by a 120. Here is the finished product... and the room.

Thanks for the info. It figures that it is a custom piece. But what a historical family heirloom. Again your home is beautiful.

Are those 10' ceilings James? I don't remember noticing when I was there...

Kitchen is 9 with 9ft 8" vault. Family room, bedroom and living room are 12ft, entranceway is 15ft, rest of the house is 9ft.

Sorry no closeups of the clock. It's something I like to keep to myself. My great, great, great grandfather enscribed something on the back that said "il segreto dell'orologio è in nome della corsa del cavallo." Which means, keep the clock secret in respect to his horse.

I thought the living room looked tall, compared to that TV since it is very much like mine but bigger. TV envy.

I could have sworn I saw that clock at Jordans ;)
My sump room is a mess, as is my tank room
I'm just finishing up replacing the 3 front 30" windows.
Now I have a wall of windows (2) 32" windows framing a large 5' wide x 4' high Picture window

I've seen those large clocks here and there lately. I think Lowes & Home Depot sell it, as does Sam's and Costco. Keep your eyes peeled for one and you'll come across it. It won't be as fantastic as James', but it will be somewhat similar.

James, your home is beautiful. I'd love to live in a place like that.
