What Eats Hair Algea

The subject says it all what are some good critters that eat hair algea. I have had my first outbreak of hair algea and was wondering what would eat it. I bought a Fox Face Lo but it is not touching the hair or strips of algea that I put in there. The only thing it would eat is formula 2 that I feed nightly. Any suggestions would be great. I would like to say with fish and stay away from snails, crabs, etc but I am open for anything.

Thanks

I've heard the lettuce nudibranch eats it. It's from the caribbean and from what I've seen, difficult to find this time of year. They say they should be available in spring. If you're lucky like me though, your Coral Beauty will eat hair algae. I wouldn't count on that, though.

do a search of your subject i.e. what eats hair algae - you will get many relevent hits and dialogue - no need to start from scratch

you will prob say - search does not work - then get a premium membership it is so worth the cost and search fail then less than .5%

having said that - foxface, snails, hermit crabs, kole tang is my favorite, the list goes on.

I've tried in the past, lettuce nudi ( waste of money, if you have any kind of flow they become powerhead lunch) tried lawn mower blenny as some yes some no, the best thing that eats hair algea is a sea hair, but ugly but it will take care to the problem quick. do a search for sea hair on rc and you'll be amazed

i do. long story, but it doesn't taste very good!

Hey jpfelix how much do you charge to eat all of the hair algea in my tank. :)

I have tried the FoxFace and it will not touch the stuff. I have been thinking lawnmower blenney but that can also be hit or miss. The sea hare is a great idea and I will check into that. Do you know if it is a slug or what? Thanks for all of the quick responses guys.
