I have a single 3" radio shack style fan in my canopy. Im not entirely happy with it. It works but I am thinking I want to install something with a little more power. Im also going to install another one on the opposite side too when I put in my new T5 retro fit kit.

What fans do you recommend? I want to use a 3" hole for my fans. Plus my fan is a one of the ones that you can directly plug into the outlet. I am open to switching to a 12volt and using a converter if necessary.

I use the same fan. Dr. f&s has a 4"dc fan for 24$ will probably be the same by the time you buy a converter. I am going to by a clip on fan from wally world and clip on my fuge and try that and leave the other one alone for now.

I have two ice caps variable 4'' fans both running in, I got rid of my Radio Shack. They do make a single speed 3'' fan I believe.

I have Ice caps and they are kind of loud. Vantec Stealths from Fry's work well and are quiet. I will use them next time in my canopy.

I have 2 Vantec Stealth fans I ordered from New Egg I believe. I like them. You can put them on a 3-12 volt adjustable AC adapter and control the speed you run them at.

I just used 2 - 120mm fans for my canopy im running 3 - 250watt MH. Bought them from radio shack for $10 each then just take an old cell phone charger and cut the plug end off and wire the fans to that plug in and your cool!! haha
