What fish is this

I adopted a fish from a friend. He said its a chromis but im not sure what kind and is it a reef safe. Thanks in advance

Chromis usually have a very significant V shaped caudal fin. That picture doesn't. I'd agree that it's a damsel. If so it's reef safe but much more aggressive.

I was thinking that, the colors are there but look t the black spot it is in different places

It looks possibly like an adult stage Princess Damsel (Pomacentrus vaiuli) or Beau Gregory damsel to me but not entirely sure.

It's not a talbots, it's more likely one of the pretty when young damsels that's matured like chrysiptera unimaculata or pomacentrus chrysus (I'd suggest the former is more likely).
