WE are going fish hunting in a few hours. I already have the following.
180gl. Running for 9 months now. All healthy and doing just fine.

1-hippo
2-yellow tang
1-coral beauty
1-yellow wrasse
4-chromis
3-clowns
1-cleaner wrasse
2shrimp
1(new)blenny,

Looking for some fish with color. I have now given up on making it a mixed reef with fish and coral, and just let what coral I have now grow and do it's thing. I kow angels can pick at corals, my little terror coral beauty has shown me what can happen. I wont get new wrasse because I already have a pretty mean one. Nothing in the yellowish color as my yellow tangs have proven not to like anything that resembles them. I have read about the fish I have, but if anyone has other things mixed with these types of fish, let me know.

Any Ideas on what I could possibly get next ?

Agree on the anthias
trio of female lyretails are very active and add some nice right color
a sunburst fathead anthias is also nice
bit more expensive but also a blotchy

Just a heads up: 3 clowns seldom do well once they are sexually mature and pair off. A pair of mated clowns will seldom tolerate any other clown of any species.

One of my favorites

Look for a tank raised orchid dotty back.
Color is perfect and mine have always. Been peaceful

I do agree on the Anthias, they are beautiful. Just trying to convince my hubby that our big fish tank needs some "pretty " colors in there, and they can be expensive when needing to buy them in a group.

@ Turkfish, I have heard about the clowns not doing well in groups of threes once matted. They have been together for about 1 year now(got them with tank). The tiny one took to the hairy mushroom quickly followed by the middle size one. The largest prefers to host a rock alone, but the middle size hosts with each depending on the day.

I have never seen them get aggressive maybe because the middle goes to both. Do you think they are sharing the middle one ?

I am keeping my fingers crossed and hoping it never goes there. Sorry for giving sizes, but not sure how to tell female or male because they can change I hear

+1 on a harem of Anthias. I wish I had a tank big enough for some. They're some of my favorite reef fish. Lots of color, and great swimmers.
