What fish should I get

Ok I have finally got my 150 up and ready to go about 3 months of just sitting do to slow condition change. I have one condition I still can't get rid of and that is a hair algae problem. What fish do you recomend as I will be putting my lords and open brains into my 150. I barely know fish as I have almost always done coral only tanks. Thanks Michael

Hmmm....Got plenty of room. I would of course suggest a tang of some sort, I'm also partial to those Genicanthus, but not everone likes those. A school of Chromis maybe? What are you looking for fish wise?

Was thinking along the tang line (Kole) in particular I can get in tommorow. However I am worried by the amount of people that say he might go after my open brains and lords

I don't think he will, and if he does he's out. Sometimes tangs will graze the algae around coral or eat coral poop etc. And appear to be eating the coral, then again some may harm them. I don't think a Kole would though. -Ross

Never heard or seen a kole do that. Tangs are great for reef tanks. The kole is also a great fish, very underrated! Get one!

fairy wrasses are awesome fish. Tangs i'd get a yellow tang. They're cheap, hardy, beautiful and swim in the open.
if i had an empty 150 i'd do these fish in this order.....
-1 yellow accessor
-1 sunburst anthias
-2 true perc's
-3-4 flasher or fairy wrasses
-1 yellow tang and maybe 1 powder blue.

good luck.

Call me crazy but I seem to like the Scopas over the Yellows, they are always a possibility. I like John37's Sunburst Anthias, but don't they need to be kept in groups? Yellow Accessors are very underused for being such a great fish.

sunbursts don't need to be kept in groups. they aren't really like other anthias' i do have a pair though in my tank and added a third but havent seen it in a while.
