What fish?

I see Steve (lmg) sitting up there and keep expecting him to jump in. :D

I've also considered a blue throat/chin trigger. Those are really cool looking fish.

dont mean to jump in, but if a clown tang could live in your tank, does that mean it could live in mine? they are basically the same tank... yours is just 4 inches taller and 4 inches wider

edit... i dont think it is good for either of our tanks, it grows to 1'3inches! thats as tall as my sister! (almost)

Heniochus over on LiveAquaria says a big fat NO on reef compatibility.

I don't think I'd put a clown tang in my tank. LA says minumum 150 gals and expert care level.

They are hard to acclimate. IMO they should be the first tang in the tank or they'll get picked on.

then he/she will be my first resident.
think i can have 2 in a 6 ft long 165?

Ummm. No.
haha,

Most things are obvious not to do, all other possibilities are trial by error or luck. Keep stress down, and maximize territory feed diverse foods and hope for the best.

Very neat fish.
High mortality rate tho.
It might take a couple to get one to live and thrive.
Super neat fish tho.

Acanthurus pyroferus - Mimic Tang / Chocolate tang.

Don't go by liveaquarias picture, that looks nothing like an adult.

I always like chalkbass and any of the pygmy hawks,
also the pygmy angles, Flames and Flame backs are my favorite and Potters being the ultimate favorite.

That is point #2, unless the store will guarantee you that fish for an extended time, it's not worth the money to have a fish die in your tank every couple weeks. (usually that's how long they last.)

EDIT: Speaking of the high dollar angles. *

Unfortunately, that's the best pic I've seen of one while searching. Some of the other pics, they don't look anywhere near that colorful.
