what grid sandpaper to wet sand acrylic?

need to wetsand some scratches out of an acrylic tank.

is 2000 grit fine enough?

if not, what grit should i use?

depending how deep the scraches are you may want to start with 220 than move up to 400 and so on
you will need to purchase a acrilic polishing kit so you can buff out final scraches from sand paper.

i started with 220...it looks a mess when you start, but if you have deep gouges, it will take forever with a higher grit.

ok, thanks.

ended up using multiple grits working up from 220 to 2000. went over everything with novus 2 and it is crystal clear.
