What happened to DD SPS photo quality?

Is it just me noticing the change?

Their photographer moved and is now in the Philadelphia area so I imagine someone else is doing it now.

Ah interesting...well considering their only source of revenue is online sales, I would hope they get someone qualified real soon. This is killing me!

Yeah, especially since picture taking is real easy and doesn't require a $1000 camera.
 
Hmm, their fish pictures are still great, and, at least IME, fish are more difficult to photograph, so I'm not sure it's an ability problem...
 
Definitely a significant difference. Sorry to be off topic but wow, that millie in the second picture is NICE.

I might be wrong on this, but I think the fish pictures are taken using flash (more specifically some kind of off camera flash) which can be a kind of cookie cutter operation (think santa at the mall). The coral images look like they are underexposed (the sand will cause this using an auto mode without exposure compensation) and over saturated.

But the fish move making it much more challenging.
