Early this month I noticed something rather strange in my tank, a bunch (~12) of little (~3mm) balls floating in my tank.
I spent some time trying to get a good close up shot of them, but they kept moving alot so they were always out of focus. Luckily my zoos were kind enough to catch one for me.
For scale:
The next day they were gone. The only thing with color/texture that was close in my tank is my toadstool, but I have seen it reproduce before (hopefully will bring some frags back to the donor program soon) and it wasn't like this. Does anyone have an idea of what those were and what was going on in my tank?
At the time it had:
2 clown fish
1 lawnmower blenny
3 peppermint shrimp
a cleaner shrimp
various zooanthids
a frog spawn
a toadstool
a couple candy canes
ricordia
kenya tree
green star polyps
