What happens if a bta were to die in your tank?will it nuke your tank?what happens to the bta its self?does it turn into a slimmy blob of goop?

There are too many unknown variables to give an answer...
Need to know (( at least )),
Size of tank
Size of anemone
Bio-load of tank
Filtration of tank
BTAs (( E. Quadricolor )) are one of the harder anemones to tell if dead, since they can look really really awful one minute and back to normal the next. However, if you have seen a couple it becomes easier to tell, so a picture always helps.

Agreed Todd. Many people post threads "my BTA just died suddenly, now what" only once discussed it is found out that the anemone just expelled its water and shriveled up. IMO, with a healthy specimen and tank, they are actually almost difficult to kill, and can handle huge swings in water chemistry and large mechanical damage and still survive. However, with newly acquired BTA's and new tanks with water chemistry problems, this is a recipe for disaster for almost any creature.

Asking details on your tank is very common, especially w/ nothing in your sig.
When asking for advice, people take the time to type out opinions and experience and give you info that may help you, so I think it's only fair to take the time to type out details in return when asked.
W/out details, we can only say prepare for the worst in a shot in the dark random way, which may not be the case.
If a nem dies, do a really big WC, expect a possible amo spike, maybe run carbon.
