What have you done with your tank lately?

Yea, ran it for four hours, messed with the gates time time again and it just wouldn't stay.

You should try a maggie muffler. I never see them mentioned but I got one for each overflow on my tank and they are great. Super silent and never anything to clean out or adjust. I'm surprised more people don't use them.

You need very fine adjustments. I also noticed the key is to have about 6" of water above the end of the siphon pipe in the overflow so you don't end up developing a vortech and sucking in air. That's with a 1" pipe. Larger pipes may require more water above the opening to keep this from happening.

I added 3 more cleaner shrimp to the tank so Ive got 4 in there at the moment. I was kinda worried about adding them since Ive got the trigger and the HT tusk but I fed them really well before I added them and they went in with no problems.

Did all that.

installed my old hob skimmer on my 40, did 2nd water change in it on week after using chemi-clean, which took longer then expected and started stinking up my office

bought rest of stuff for water changing station which will be built throughout this week

I think my ATS is starting to work. I testing No3 today and theyre down to 10 on API. They were 20 when I tested 12 days ago. and 35 when I tested on the Fed. 16th.
I am using API so not the most reliable but if its headed towards 0 on any test then its headed in the right direction. lolz

I got my frag tank drain finished and started on my main return. I would have gotten a lot farther if some Lowes employee hadn't put thin wall 1 inch pipe in the schedule 40 rack. I guess there's always tomorrow.

Plumbed in my old 45 to my new sump/setup.

Check EVERYTHING from Lowes/HD. I've been burned more than once because I grabbed several pieces of something and some a$$hat threw a piece back in the wrong bin. And if you buy unions, make sure the O-ring is in it.

Finally seeing some progress on the stand I'm having made for the new tank. I'm hoping to have things salty in a couple more months.
