What have you done with your tank lately?

Reeferheads green shroom that I've been waiting fir to reproduce

I have one of those green shrooms from last years swap. It has dropped 3 tiny babies but they seem to grow super slow. I have the bright Oj shroom from his tank as well and its dropped a few babies and they are also slow growers. I love how bright they are.

I added Nudis to combat the pest nem's this morning. I added 4 to a spot my fish cant get to in the display, and 4 to my overflow box. When I got home this afternoon the Nudis's in the overflow had laid 4 spirals of eggs on the glass. I give saltyunderground a 4 out of five stars, not five because of price....what can I say, I'm cheap. :D

Mine has grown very. Rapidly and have lots. Of babies.

The bright orange one i got from him melted on me. Thats not hard to believe knowing my luck :hmm4:

The green on I can't see if its dropped any new ones

Im sure t both would be a home run in the cdp tank

Woke up early after a big meal and wine last night...night shift threw me off quite a bit:uzi::uzi:

I removed the four 400 watt Ushio 14K bulbs from the cube tank and put four 250 watt Radium 20K bulbs over it.

Also, took off the sulphur denitrator now that my nitrate is down to 2.2ppm. Phosphate is still a bit too high at 0.12, but it isn't too terrible.

Cleaned the skimmer and will try to get around to the Tunze pumps a day next week.

Why the switch down to 250's? What ballasts are you running the Radiums on?Is the cube the tank with the giant mushroom?
How many amps do you have dedicated to you tanks?

I go back and forth from 250's-400's from time to time to amp up growth, but I really missed the bluer look of the Radiums, just more mellow and less yellow:D

I run Blue Wave 7 ballasts by Sunlight Supply, they are the 250 watt HQI ballast which most closely runs this bulb to spec. Yes, this is the giant toadstool tank.

I have a 100 amp subpanel for the reef room.

Dripping lanthum chloride worked great for me. Either in front of the skimmer intake.

Those Bluewave 7's are like gold anymore.
Have you tried the 400 watt Radiums on the M135 ballasts?
I put in four 20 amp circuits for my tank. Wish I woulda put in more.

I couldnt get the drip ratio correct and always overdosed, which is why I went with the ARID reactor. I've got plenty of LC leftover if you want to try it Dave?

Today I did a 45 gallon water change on the 120 system and transferred over one H.magnifica anemone and a mated pair of Darwin black Ocellaris clowns.

FTS

Current occupants:

Purple based H.magnifica anemone
2 Darwin black Ocellaris clowns
1 Purple H.crispa anemone
1 Porcelain crab, (Neopetrolisthes ohshimai)
1 Juvi Yellow belly Regal Angel
1 Juvi Flame Angel
1 initial phase Pintail Wrasse
1 small male Christmas wrasse
1 medium Scribbled Rabbitfish
1 Blue Squamosa clam
1 orange plate coral
1 Blastomussa Wellsi coral
1 Blastomussa merlotti frag
2 frags of Blue Orgasm zoas
1 Frag of Tubbs Blue zoas
1 frag of Armor of God palys

Next month I'll be moving over a small Yellow tang and medium Tomini tang.

October is where things get interesting and I try adding a second H.magnifica anemone and a mated pair of Rod's Onyx Percs. I'm hoping that having open water swimmers and being separated by 4 feet of tank space will allow me to keep both sets of clowns in my 120.

Your tanks looking great man.

Tank looks great Nick! I think you'll be okay with the 2 pairs. I have onyx and skunks in my 150 cube. They just occupy opposite corners diagonally and when one comes out a little too far there's a small squabble in the DMZ then they return to their respective corners.

I hope you're right. You're the first person I've heard of keeping two pairs of clown in a tank less than 5 feet long. It's still new to them, but the Ocellaris didnt venture far from the anemone last night.
