What I'm Thankful For this Year: Bluelines and Flame Wrasses!

So, just thought I'd share a few pictures. The Bluelines should be coming out of QT very shortly, and my Flame Wrasses are settled in and doing very well! I'm especially happy with the Flames. They require many feedings per day as they're so small, but it's definitely worth it. One of the females is barely 1"!

Thanks everybody.

Ryan, the current stock list is just the flames, with the blueline pair and clown pair in QT. I'm rebuilding my tank after getting bored with "common" stuff. While it was difficult to part some of the fish, I now have some room to add some interesting new fish!

Any suggestions for my new stocking list? I'm thinking about some more wrasses that will mix well with the flames, but don't know what to get!

Oh i've got lots and lots of suggestions!

But what size is the tank? And what temp?

I know There is an incredible 2.5" bandit that is healthy and has been QT'd for sale in Penn that is only $400! I would get it if he would ship...

I also am a huge fan of Hooded Fairy's, Lineatus, Johnsoni wrasses.

I'd go for some Pygme Angels also. Multibars are awesome. Maybe some Jocs, or Multicolors. Just get 3 of any of them. Their interaction is what makes them so cool.

Im a big fan of groups of Anthias as well. I'll be getting a large group of Evansi's to add to my Resplendent Anthias group too!

Ryan, I have an Elos System 70 right now (only 55 gallons), but will be upgrading to an Elos 120xl or 160 in May (I'm moving and doesn't make sense to upgrade yet). It'll be 125 or 140 gallons.

I know the Bandit you're talking about, I thought about it too, but it's kind of far for me since I don't have a car, and I have a good amount of SPS. I'd definitely consider a pair/trio of Jocs, but I can't find any!

I've been buying the fish I want but in small sizes since the tank is so small for a few more months.

Extreme, yes, I love them! Seems like they brought in a lot of them, however there may be a few left.

If you miss out, hopefully they'll do the same next year!

Flame wrasses are one of my favorites. I have mine for a year plus and his colors are really looking great now. I have had some issues keeping females but just got him a couple new dates last month and so far so good.

Ohh, that's too bad Jim. Any idea of the cause? Was it aggression related between the females? Hopefully I won't encounter that, but we'll see.

Hi David, I was just wondering how your flame wrasses are doing? I have a trio coming this fri and would like some advice. Thanks.

Hi, they're still doing very well. They eat anything thrown in the tank, and while there is a bit of bickering and chasing that goes on between the females they seem to be doing well.

I don't have any pictures with me at the moment, but will be sure to add some later today/tonight.

In terms of advice, I would just socially acclimate them in an acrylic box inside the aquarium after QT.
