I am the process of setting up yet another sump for my 90. The measurements for the sump are approx. 32 x 18 x 12. I am planning to put a skimmer, liverock rubble and the return in the sump. The tank houses both fish and corals. My question is am I better off filling a section of the sump with rubble or am I better taking that same rubble and building a upright chamber so the overflow water would drop thru the rubble like a wet dry then into the sump? I can sock the overflow and change it out every couple of days either way I go. What is the general opinion on this and why? Another question I have is is there any benefit in running a section of macroalge in this small of a sump? The section might hold a couple gallons. Thanks in advance for any help.
