What Inverts in Fuge?

What kind of inverts can I or SHOULD I put in a refugium? Right now I see a lot of algae growth on the walls and sand and don't know if it's ok to put snails in there?

Thanks

IMO, it's better for the algae to grow in the fuge than in the display. If the algae in the fuge is sucking up the nutrients that cause outbreaks, better to let it thrive in the fuge. I suppose a turbo snail or two wouldn't hurt if it got out of hand, and you didn't feel like harvesting it by hand.

Well guys here's the deal. My fuge is placed outside the house, so sometimes it gets some sunlight (not direct sunlight, but just light bouncing from house walls and asphalt) inside of it. So now all the glass and some sand areas are covered w/ algae. I don't care for it, I just don't want that stuff to affect my tank.

So you are saying that it's actually beneficial to let that algae grow in the fuge?

thank you.

By the way, is it ok to mix blueleg and scarlet hermits ?

All three of my tanks have a mix of blue leg and scarlets. Have not noticed a problem.

I would just put turbos, margaritas, and ceriths. Let the pod population grow.

Margaritta's are cool water snails. I've found this out after I bought them. I no longer have any in my tank, and their shells are now available for hermit upgrades. .

I have a mix of Snails, Hermit crabs in my fuge. That is also where I house my green brittle star, purple brittle star, red brittle star and an assortment of different non reef safe crabs.
