What is a good low growing wavy type coral?

I have this section of my rock work the swoops down into a cave. Not a great spot for an SPS and I don't want anything that grows so tall (eg toadstool) that blocks the cave entrance. I like the movement of corals like frogspawn (already have) and Xenia (already have), but what would be a good option for a coral that encrusts and grows low to the ground but it's tentacles aren't super long. Also, no mushrooms. Thanks!

Well, star polyps are one choice that fits your criteria. Another one you might consider is the "Short Blue Waving Hand Polyps" that keep showing up in Diver's Den. They are a lovely blue and also fit your requirements. You could also do a Pipe Organ coral, Glove Polyps, or Blue Sympodium Polyps.

Hey thanks. Forgot about GSP, but yeah I have that already as well. The Blue Sympodium Polyp seems like a nice option. I like cloves in general. Plus, bc this is on my main rock work didn't want to put something like waving hand polyps due to spreading concerns.

why not just a colony or two of different zoos or palys…any softy you chose is going to encrust and spread like crazy…some will just do it more then others…gsp, xenia, cloves, of any sort are going to eventually take over your tank…zoos are easy to remove and kill if need be...

it's not super low growing but anthalia are wavy

or xenia-which is in the middle and lower right. that's more anthalia above it
