What is a good way to raise my PH???

My PH is beloe 8.2, what is a good way to bring it back up and to what level should I raise it to?

What, exactly, is your pH? If over 8.1, what, exactly, is the problem?

Do you have a fuge? Dose kalk?

I would 7.8 - 8.0 I do drip Kalk and no refugium just a simple sump with a protien skimmer.

Kalk and a water change will help, A ph of 8.2 during the day is plenty high enough for my aquariums...

Kalk will help. Dosing a homemade 2-part using the washing soda recipe (baked baking soda) will help too.

Whats your Nitrate. I ask coz this are acids lowers your PH in the tank if the concentration is too high. 7.8 PH in the morning is normal and when all plants , animals start photosinthesing your PH should be around 8.0 to 8.3..............PEACE

my nitrates were around 10 and they are usually zero'd out but I run a 50/50 mix of carbon and phosphate sponge in a Magnim 350 but I didn't change it for about 3 weeks and it was full of crap so I am positive thats were the nitrates came from. But I did not realize that could affect my PH.............great info thank you!!!

7.8 in the am and 8-8.2 later on .. really.. thats what mine is and i have always been worried .. good to know..
