what is better gobys or angels

What is the tank size?
Is it a reef or FOWLR?

Personally, I would rather keep angels than gobies, but it also really depends on the tank size and what else is in the tank.

Well, it depends on a lot. What is your tank size? What do you have in it? What else are you planning on keeping in it?

What other fish do u have or are you planning on getting? If nothing else you could go with a SMALL dwarf angel ( some of the Atlantic species dont get any bigger than 3 inches and are awesome looking ) and a goby of some kind. Make sure you have adequate live rock and filtration and you should be ok. If you have other fish it would be best to go with just the goby though in my humble opinion...

I would stay away from even dwarf angels in a tank that size. From my experience they are very active swimmers sometimes putting tangs to shame. My Coral Beauty does laps for a couple of hours a day in my 210!She does have ambitions to be a long distance swimmer though ;) . Yours may be different. A goby might work out better for you in the long run. In my 24 I have a yellow watchman (pistol as soon as I find one), bi-color blenny, and pair of pink skunks.

Generally that is like comparing apples to oranges. Angels are beautiful and active. I think my coral beauty has ADD. Gobies have more personality, but are often hiding. In your case though I would tend to stear towards the gobies, only because the size of the system. I wouldn't even think about putting my coral beauty in a nano, it would be stressed out with the lack of space to swim.

Stay to gobies and blennies under 2" adult size. You'll find them quite varied and generally compatible with each other. Dartfish also get along well with them.
