I feed once a day...
Mysis or brine..
As much as they eat in like 5 minutes..
But there is still some left.... Is that too much?

I think if you have aCUC you will be ok? I feed mine twice a day,all they can eat in 3 min. And always theres some food that get to the bottom for my CUC. No problem at all.

5 min. to long and left over is bad.It will only collect in areas CUC cant get and cause water problems. I feed flake in the morning as most fish like 2 meals a day and only what they can eat in 1 or 2 min.skipping a day every few days. Then frozine at night brine, cyclops , marine cusine alternating and photo everother night and only what they can eat in 2 or 3 min. If there are areas that the food settles this could be from low flow and you should see the food floating all over the tank. Overfeeding is in the top 10 of newbie mistakes. Look here.

Also overfeeding omnivores means they scavage less helping with algea control. If this is a reef tank then its all about the coral and the fish you add should help maintane the tank by sand sifting , algea picking , unwanted critter control and maybe a few for visual display. Its all about balance and control.

Fish like to eat more smaller meals instead of one big one. I feed mine 3-4 times a day but only what they eat in 30-45 seconds. Make sure the slow feeders get some, too.

Making sure the food gets eaten quickly is good, but most of what goes into a fish comes back out, so the total quantity of food is important, too. For that size tank, I might target 1/3 cube or so of frozen Formula 1 per day for starters, as a very rough guideline. A refugium can consume a lot of nutrients, though.

Not that it is, but this might be where tap water and RO/DI gets lost in each other. Among other things.
