What is currently the best HOB overflow?

Hello,
Just getting back into the hobby after about 20 years.
Looking at older posts and it seems Lifereef was recommended but most of posts are over 5-6 years old.
Are there any other overflows that are better now or should I stick with getting that one?

Which would be why they specifically stated HOB.


I used the EShopps, basically the same design as the lifereef one. I would recommend one of those two.

I was going to get a lifereef and ended up with the eshopps, I'm very happy with it after you tweak it for noise reduction.

I Can't drill my tank its tempered glass but the price was right

Eshopps...never lost siphon in ~8 years use.

I had a lifereef year back and it was solid plus the service is great. I got a call from the owner when I placed my order just to make sure I ordered the correct one for my tank and to go over any questions. Maybe he was bored that day

whatever you do stay away from the CPR one with the pump to hold siphon. Designed correctly there's no need for a pump.
