What is going on????????

My sump is confused. It evaporates normal but as I top off my sump raises and so does my DT? Can someone explain. I've had several tanks and none have done this before.

How is your drain plumbed? Its possible that your increasing the back pressure on your drain(s) which slows them and will increase the water level in your DT

I have a single one inch drain with a 3/4 return.

That will happen if somehow your overflow is weaker than your return. Check for any occlusions in the overflow line or turn down/dial back your return pump. Found that out the hard way and made a mess once.

How deep in the water of sump is your drain? No more than an inch

About 2 inches down. But the issue is that I had this same set up before and never had this problem and now I'm having it?

less head pressure on pump when you raise water level in sump = slightly more water flow which would increase water level in display tank???
