What is living on my snail?

Hello,

I noticed this bump on my snail. Upon closer inspection, the top of the bump has something that looks like a mouth with a tiny tongue coming out. I hope it's not an unwanted hitchhiker. Please see the attached photo. It's the only snail of its kind with this thing on it.

Thanks!

Awesome. Thanks! I'm reading that they are good. Anything I should do, should I try to transfer it on a rock or let it be? I feed my fish new life spectrum marine aquarium and 20% water changes with vibrant sea and everything seems to be doing fine.

Thanks!

Nope just let it be. You cannot transfer it to a rock, doing so will kill it. Unfortunately barnacle generally do not live long in aquariums. They require planktonic food at a very particular size that is hard to have in closed systems.

Second what @Tripod1404 said. Depending on how established your tank is and what other corals you have, it may thrive if you are supplemental feeding planktonic type foods filter feeders eat. Bunch of different liquid brands out there that we use for corals like green star polyps, xenia, etc. Good luck!
