What is moving in My flower anemone's tentacles?

They are little white things in the edges of the tentacles. Look towards the top.

I'm not going to be any help in letting you know what's there but it looks like there are little critters (alienz) living inside it. If you view the vid on full screen you can see them moving with purpose.

E. crucifer is an internal brooder, i.e., fertilized eggs develop inside the anemone. I think what you're seeing is essentially anemone embryos.

btw, that anemone looks bleached.

It's only getting about 50 PAR so it isn't from the light...it's been that color since I got it 2 weeks ago.

Anemones will bleach, or remain bleached, due to not enough light just like they do with to much light. Crucifer is a shallow water anemone so it's not likely for them to bleach from to much light. You would really have to blast them. I honestly don't believe 50 PAR is enough to sustain these anemones.

Gary may be right, but I've never seen larvae in the tentacles like that. I've never had a bleached crucifer spawn though. You probably wouldn't be able to see those things moving if the anemone had its full color.

That is one wild video though.
