My alk is fine. I think you are talk about about PH not alk. My PH bounces between 8.2 and 8.3. I run ZEOVit they recommend all between 6.5 and 7.5.

If you're on zeovit, you're on their protocols. That's ok, as long as you're watching the parameter. I can only conclude you have a very strange goby. I've never had one go more than 5" above the sandbed.

Mine have always been the same way; actually, I dont think I've ever seen it 5" off the sand, more like 2 or 3". And when it comes to YWG, I hardly ever see them period. Had one I thought was dead because I hadnt seen it in a couple years (would have been about eight years old the last time I saw him/her) only to pop out like nothing was wrong when we tore the tank down to move (at least 10 years old). There may or may not be one in my current tank; saw it for a couple of days and never again. Added a Randall's goby and it moved into the same hole and paired up with the pistol so I'm guessing the YWG didnt make it but I have no way of really knowing (yellow assessor also shares the same cave system).

With that said, I went to a local forum members home to pick up some frags today and his YWG stays out in the open (very low in the tank) constantly.

I have a skunk cleaner, a fire shrimp and 3 peppermints and no issues with my 3 pistols.

I have a skunk cleaner in my 36g DT but would like to get some peppermint for Aptasia. Was hoping for 2.

I have a 75 gallon...none of my shrimp mess with each other. I also have sexy shrimp. The 3 peppermints split up sometimes, but other than that, there's no issues at all among them. I like shrimp so I have a little collection of them

In my previous tank which was only a 30g I had 1 skunk cleaner, 2 peppermints, and a large tiger pistol and never had any issues...

Also have a tuxedo urchin and an urchin I don't know the name of, but he's purple/pink in color.

He's such a weirdo! Look at this. Ignore the cloudiness I just dosed Coral Snow so that's normal. What's even weirder is that when he's up here he will react. If a fish goes near him or if I startle him he will swim away lightning fast.
