you don't need anything beside some way to mount it. I don't believe the mounting hardware will work with our American tanks.

The wave box would work on your future 125g, I don't know how effective it would be on the 49g. The included brackets will mount to an AGA tank with the stock rim. The brackets would not work on a euro brace on the permitter, must use the magnets.
When using the wavebox you will still need flow. I would get 2 of the Tunze 6000 or 6100 first or other powerheads, then supplement the current with the Wavebox.
