My Watanabe angelfish over the last 3 weeks has developed a weird open sore on his face somewhere between his eye and his gill. It is about 3/16" in diameter. and it is raised about 1/8" off of his face. He doesn't appear ill at all. He is eating lots. and swimming around lots. It does not look like ich to me. It started out a little white/pinkish, nd now it looks kind of yellow. No other fish in the tank are sick. I have two other tangs in the tank. A powder blue, and a purple Tang, they have absolutly no ich on them. So I figure it must be something else. My buddy figures it is a wound, maybe the powder tang stabbed it or the coral banded shrimp nipped him or something. The guy at the reef store says that fish get the equivalent of "warts" sometimes, and it will go away. I am just wondering if you guys have any ideas as to what it might be. I can't catch him now to put him in another tank, it doesn't appear to be contagious anyways. I feed him food with garlic on it. Any ideas?
