what is on my angelfish face?

My Watanabe angelfish over the last 3 weeks has developed a weird open sore on his face somewhere between his eye and his gill. It is about 3/16" in diameter. and it is raised about 1/8" off of his face. He doesn't appear ill at all. He is eating lots. and swimming around lots. It does not look like ich to me. It started out a little white/pinkish, nd now it looks kind of yellow. No other fish in the tank are sick. I have two other tangs in the tank. A powder blue, and a purple Tang, they have absolutly no ich on them. So I figure it must be something else. My buddy figures it is a wound, maybe the powder tang stabbed it or the coral banded shrimp nipped him or something. The guy at the reef store says that fish get the equivalent of "warts" sometimes, and it will go away. I am just wondering if you guys have any ideas as to what it might be. I can't catch him now to put him in another tank, it doesn't appear to be contagious anyways. I feed him food with garlic on it. Any ideas?

Thanx

i recently lost a male watanabei angel to something simmilar it was almost like some kind of cancer it basically started of on the top of one nostrel as a tiny spot and over time became a giant crater until sadly enough its face became swollen it looked horrific like a monster and within a few days died im not sure wht caused this maybe a bacteria virus who knows but the fish other than that was fat and healthy

anyone else have some experience with this or any thoughts. I can't catch ths fish. Is there any medication that might help? He definentely hasn't died in three days. but he has had this for three weeks and the sore keeps getting larger. What can I do. Again the infection has not spread to any other fish, which is great

I am pretty sure it is a parasitic infection of some type. Mayber Hole in the head. anyhow, anyone have any experience with Seachem Focus, Polyp Lab Medic, or "Stop! Parasite".

Thanx

I feed a very varied diet and I also have good protein skimming, plus I do a 15% water change every 7 days right now. (because I want the water perfect) Could overfeeding be part of the problem?
