What is on this snail

That's actually a cowry, a type of snail that covers its shell in its mantle (foot). The strange bristles are part of the mantle, intended to disguise it.
Lightly touch it in order to make it retract the mantle, then photograph the shell, and someone can probably tell you what type of cowry it is. Also, you'll see what I mean. Don't worry, it doesn't sting or anything.
