What is that white stringy thing coming out of my females underside?

Just saw this on my B&W female. Was not there a few hours ago. Any idea what it is?

Waste.

How long have you had the clown? White stringy waste can mean internal parasites, or other issues.

Did you change anything in your tank or added any new equipment in your main tank? They might be stress. If not, it's likely an internal parasite.

I recently put them in a 3 chamber holding tank with eggcrate dividers between them and 2 other sets of clowns. Maybe stress then. I'll get them in their new tanks soon.

Happened to mine too. I was told internal parasites as well. I lost one but still have the other. that was six months ago and he is still eating like a pig....

I fed them a gram negative antibiotic but didn't seem to do much. He still occasionally poos like that but seems fine......????

When I first got an ocellaris clown, it's poop were white like your clown but then it slowly changed color. In my case, it was probably due to stress. If yours is still eating, it might go away over time. Mine took 2 weeks for it to change from white to brown.

if he/she still eating on a regular basis i wouldn't worry to much, now if it stops eating suddenly i would treat for internal parasites!!
