What is the best ozonizer to my reef ?

Hi Guys,

I have a 160G tank SPS only

I would like to buy a ozone deluxe from red sea

Which one should I buy ?

50mg , 100mg or 200mg ?

Should I use 24 hours a day ?

I would think the 100mg would do well. I have the 100mg deluxe on my 65 and run it at 50% 24/7. The important part is to keep the probe clean and the air dryer beads dry. Then the generator wont have to work hard to hit the desired set point.

When you said that you are running 50% 24/7 you are applying just 50 mg of ozone ? What is 24/7 ?

Yes I have it set at 50% of the 100mg and I run it everyday, 24hrs a day. But with the deluxe it will turn off when the set point is hit. So even though it is turned on all the time , it only is working when the set point hasn't been reached. Does that make sense to you?

I just bought a 225 gallon tank and I'm going to buy another 100mg red sea deluxe for it also.

But the price of the 100mg is very close to the 200mg...maybe I take a 200mg because I can set him to work 50% like you....and if in the future I set up a large tank I donÃ"šÃ‚´t need to buy another
