i must ask you this.. why do you feel that you have to dose anything? there is no need to just up and start dosing your tank with anything at all unless you are having a problem.
vit. C has seemed to work for some people and for others it seems to cause problems or just not do anything. for me it caused unwanted algea and other then that i saw no difference in anything. this is just my tank though and my personal observation.
VC and dosing is a joke..... +100000000 with guy only dose when something is truly wrong/problem.... plug the tank in and let it do its thing...... people thinking putting thier coral's on steroids ie dosing and VC etc...
I dose vitamin C and have seen great results in tissue regeneration after fragging as well as eliminating parasitic infections in tangs. I have to agree, dosing is not a cure-all or "safe" thing to do. You always run a risk of messing something up when dosing anything.
Just keep all you parameters up where the should be and you'll do great. Don't dose unless you have too. Just makes for more of a headache. Relax and just look at the tank.
I am dosing iodine but I have not seen a single new polyp in 3 months and a lot of my small zoas are struggling or not opening. I also have four 10 inch Rhodactis in my 29 BioCube that are sucking up all the minerals. The key is to know the story of what is going on in your tank and address any issues that are creating negative effects in your tank.
