what is the difference?

What is the difference in the super reef octopus 5000 and the xp 5000 series skimmers?
I have read but can't find a difference. I know the sss line is super space saver but have no idea about xp.

the xp series is a cone skimmer and the other is a hybird half cone.

IMO I would think the hybird would be better as it has a bigger body because it isn't all cone which means more contact time. but thats just my opinion.
