Ok starting to think about my dream tank! so I wanted to start doing some resurch... I am thinking of a tang and angel tank some were 10-15 feet long 2 1/2 wide and 2 1/2 feet tall.

so my question is who makes tanks this long?
what is the longest that you have see in a home?
and pf course love to see some pics of long tanks! even better if there tangs tanks!
cheers

I have a 10 footer. I believe 10' is the longest regularly made tank, though with enough money to throw at something, any size can be had.

agreed hahaha money talks man. iv just built a 10ft so i guess you could add a few feet? at an extra cost

I was told when ordering my tank that 10' sheets are the largest they can get in without having them custom made. Like eveyone else said custom means big bucks. The other option for me (and you) was a seem (2 pieces glued together), I just decided to cut back down to a 10 footer.

yeah money talks right! yeah I was thinking the biggest not custom made right now.
would love to see some pics of your guys/gals tanks if you dont mind.

humm a seem in the middle of a 20' tank??

Midwest Custom Aquarium can get acrylic up to 184" long. so I think that would be the largest with out going custom. ATM aquariums can make anything you want.

Biggest NOT custom? I don't think anyone makes anything larger than 8 feet in a non-custom setup (maybe 6 feet??), as you get large you really get shoe horned into some pretty standard sizes. If you're going large go custom to get what you want, now does that mean you'll be able to get a 30 foot long tank for your budget? Probably not, but they can make tanks as large as you need.

If it's glass there are some limitations to glass length, but just make it like two tanks stuck together, you won't get one seamless long view, there will be a partition in the middle, but as far as fish are concerned its one long tank. You can get acrylic to long lengths but I believe beyond around 10' they need to join pieces together, and yes there is a slight seam, often noticeable as you see it from a certain angle, but if you want long who cares.

yeah...little scary to think about that....my 18ft has two seams on the front/back and one seam in the top/bottom....its 2" acrylic so its real strong

done right the seams arent that bad looking
