what is the nicest blenny out there

For me it's the Pike Blenny, one of my favorite fish I ever had. Would pay a pretty penny to get another one if anyone collected them, unfortunately no one does. It's from the tube blenny family.

Cool fish lots of personality, would display by puffing out his gills if felt threatened, would live in a cocoworm tunnel or SeaFan tube. Apparently not that rare, just not collected often.

Some one jsut asked me about these. They used to collect them in the Sea of Cortez and they'll be showing up again shortly..

I have one of these, and the picture does NO JUSTICE to the actual color, in life. Lots of yellwo along the back, the turquoise and pink spotting is intense.

I have no experience with ATL ones. Do they have the orange throat like their Baja cousins?

I know their are a TON of them in the Sea of Cortez in Mexico.

I know it's not exactly the same, but I have a Tailspot along with a HiFin Red Banded Goby/Tiger Pistol Shrimp, and have no problems at all... In fact, if you look at the pic I posted above, you can see the Goby in the lower right...

I've had a Midas Blenny for the past year but he went missing a month ago =(
A great fish with a lot of personality he was always out swimming and often allowed the Skunk Cleaner to clean him while he rested in his hole.
Also had a Barnacle Blenny for a while as well. He probably had more personality but was always in his shell house I made him.

This is a very nice blenny IMO.

it's species is unknown to me yet, and i've send some photos to glassboxdesign and other people to help me identify it.

it was found in a local habitat in my country Singapore and i collected 13 of them. The range did not match any other blenny except Omobranchus meniscus, which was also recently discovered in Singapore in November 2009. There's no information on this fish online so it could very well be Omobranchus meniscus.

There's no other omobranchus blennies found in Singapore that looks like this so it's safe to say it's either an O. meniscus, or a new species.

Anyway, here's a picture. cute huh? i have 13 of them and they are extremely sociable. one of them is gravid and lays orange eggs. eggs not shown in picture.

it resembles the brachiosaurus blenny from australia. Omobranchus anolius
