Can anyone tell me the signs to look for of cyanide caught fish?

Also how long can a fish stand the cyanide until the signs show up

If the fish dies is there a way you can tell for sure it was cyanide poisoning?
(I was told if the dead all of a sudden when the fish still eat well the day before, and the color of the fish will still nice and bright after death)

A local LFS always sell their fish 30% lower then the market price but I have no luck with their fish.

Most of them die within 1 to 3 weeks in QT and most of them eat well the day before.
my QT is 20 gallon and I only keep 1 fish at a time, I also change water (50%) every week using the DT water

Why the sudden influx in threads asking this same question? Being that you live in canada the likelyhood is decreased that you would encounter fish that will suddenly die from cyanide catching techniques, but still possible. 30-80% of fish collected with cyanide will die from collectors to wholesalers to retail. Most fish die within two weeks after being exposed to cyanide. You mentioned most die within 1-3 wks in QT, have you lost other fish in QT from other sources?
