yes... in winter i want put 2x400 radium + 4 x 54 t5 ...for heating the tank..in summer i go to all t5..

i try radium in 250W.. and other bulbs in 400W (more stronger bulbs like XM or aqualine) and grown of corals are fantastic..but..forget colors of t5..

I went all led but if I was to do it all over again, I would have gone with a large ati t5 fixture instead

I have that same skimmer on my 75 with 20 gal sump. Works like a champ I love it.

Maybe the summer weather and open windows / more gas exchange helps colors?.
Have you tried the Radiums in summer too?.

I haven't seen anything beat 400W Radiums for making SPS colour up.

ZON, I've seen your tank pics on here, and they look beautiful. Whatever you've been doing is absolutely working perfectly. That being said. I love the look of t5ho specifically ati bulbs, but my Acropora color improved immediately when I switched to 250 watt radiums. I don't necessarily think the health Improved, but the color rendering was just better to my eyes

If i keep radium 400 in the summer i need to put the chiller on my tank..and 1000w of lights + 5/600 of chiller is too much power for my home..also i have my wife tank and other equipment..( and i have 5 kw of power solar panel on my roof) ..but forget a moment the power supply problem..definitely colors are better on t5 ..and if you try a ati fixture with 10/12 tubes 80w ..and take a par meter you will see that light is a monstre ..more and more of radiums..trust me..

More THEN radiums ..sorry my horrible english.. here in europe few people can afford to keep 400w all seasons.. And with t5 you can have cartoon pop colors that you can only imagine with leds or mh's .. Is a fake color?? Maybe ..but i like it

This summer in vacation i'll have time for finish my " winter fixture" : 2x lumenark3 with 400w radium + 4x54 t5 and some royal blue leds for dawn/dusk.. And we will see the changes ah a little help..what os BEST ballast for 400 mh radium?? I can have easily lumatek or icecup but if sone other is better tell me please..!!
