what is this and how do i cure it?

just below the side fin,

almost looks like a tiny peice of foam.... almost like excess mucus. hasnt grown significantly.

but id like to make sure it doesnt get worse.


QT in hyposaline tank? formalin bath? QT with copper? QT with antibacterial/fungal meds?

not sure what it is so im nit sure how to treat it.

Its kinda hard to say from the picture, but try googling lymphocystis. Its a viral disease so there is no treatment except tincture of time, but it is rarely fatal.

anything i can do to help get rid of it?

i know water quality and proper diet help. anything else i should take into consideration?


know where i can find good metarial on the topic? (google seems to give mostly stuff on koi/gold fish)

Dose your foods with Garlic Extreme and Selcon, you should kick it within 1-2 weeks time, no problems... Keep the fish calm...
