What is this coral?

I went snorkeling not too long ago and came across some coral in very shallow rock pools.
They look like dendrophyllia or tubstrea without a long stalk. They're like mushrooms with sun coral like tentacles. The tentacles are very sticky, and the entire coral is fulshed red. It fed on a small crab and when the tide is low, they are totally out of the water, and they close up and seem to retain water. It was singular like a mushroom, not in a cluster. I suspect they are capable of moving.

Sun corals are usually found on rooves and walls of caves, but this guy was found in very shallow waters where the sun is full blasting at them. There were many of them. Would this be a sun coral, dendrophyllia, or a duncan? I'm very confused mainly because of where it was located at.

This was in Sydney, Cabbage Tree Bay by Shelly beach and Manly.

Sorry, but I couldn't get a good photo of them because i only brought my phone and its only 5 mp:sad2:
