What is this LTA worth?

I know, i know, ... its only worth what someone will pay for it. But i've seen this guy in person and it really is Magenta to dare i say it "RED".

Just curious what you think it should be sold for?

its at least 7 to 8 inches in diameter. I want to buy it but they want a crazy price for it. $300.00 is what there asking, AND I'M NOT PAYING THAT, but they told me to make them an offer.

wow, I didn't know they can be red..is it dyed? I would pay what ever they asked for if it wasn't dyed.

no, I don't think its worth $300 I would give them maybe $200 at the very most unless some one else is interested in it too.

it doesnt look dyed

it looks nice but 300 is a big tag for a LTA.

yeah, its at the LFS, and i was there when they got the shipment directly from Indo. I helped unpack it so its not dyed.

That's a very nicely colored LTA. I'd offer $150- $180 if I were you. $300 is a bit much. I doubt the LFS paid over $100 for it at wholesale.

your making me want to thats for sure, they have offered this to me multiple times as they know that i LOVE anemone's of all species, but i keep turning them down for some reason and i can't figure out why. I would have to give up a couple i already have to make room for this, but it think it would be an "upgrade".

I would say offer them $180 firm. That is a heft price tag for an LTA, and agreed, I doubt they paid over $100 for it.

Beautiful color, but $300 would be too rich for my blood. Maybe 150, or 180 if you realllllly want it. You said you saw it come out of the bag so you know it isn't dyed, but would the dying happen at the LFS or from the distributor?

I don't think it is dyed either, but if it was, it would have been dyed in Indo before it was shipped.

I would not be surprized if they paid the same price for it that they paid for their RBTAs. I have to agree that $150-$180 would likely be a fair price. Making them a half price offer might not go over very well. You might want to go for $180.

Bottom line is, what do you feel comfortable paying knowing that the first couple weeks will be very touch and go no matter how good it looks now.

I'm wondering which LFS has this?
I was at both AW and OG yesterday and didn't see it.
AW has a couple BTA's, one half dollar size, one about 3" and they were asking about $100 each, thought that was a bit high.
$300 is a bit much, but I haven't seen that color naturally.
If it is natural, and can keep that color in captivity, that would be a serious prize.
