what is this? pics..

well i have a couple of these in my new tank.. appear to have came on the live rock.. are they good or bad?? its a clear/silvery looking body with little almost like feather duster feathers on the top, they are also a clear grey.. i know the pic is not real close up but its as close i could get to one..

my guess would be a Scypha Sponge AKA Pineapple Sponge. if thats it they are harmless filter feeders. heres some info and a good pic of one.

Oh man, I came on here in a frantic! My wife had to get her appendix out and when I came home from the hospital and looked in my sump where the overflow pours in, I saw like 30 of these! I came on here ready to search for "white fuzzy" or "white furry," but couldn't find anything. So, I just tagged this thread for anyone like me that is looking for these little white furry sponges. Thanks for the link, Paintbug. You put my mind at ease.

no problem guys! they usually end up only growing in the dark, higher flow areas once the tank matures. they also help keep the water clean.
