What is this Red Algae on the rocks?

cyano bacteria? You need to see if it is hard or if it rubs off easily. If it rubs off, it is probably cyano.

well i put red slime remover in the tank to get rid of a little that was in the sand and it got rid of that but didn't do anything to this stuff that is on the rocks. Also this stuff only grows in really high flow and high light areas...

It looks a bit sponge-ish to me, but it might just be coralline. Is it rock-live, or a bit softer? Does a piece of it bubble in vinegar?

I have the same and it doesn't rub off.

i can scratch it off with my fingernail, not completely off. It came on some live rock and has spread throughout my tank onto the base rock. It mostly grows right in front of the closed loop outlets and high up near the lights.

It doesn't seem as hard as purple coralline but it sure doesn't come off like cyano does.

That sounds like an encrusting sponge, maybe. In that case, there's not much you can do except manual removal.

looks like Peyssonnelia sp., which is a type of coralline algae.

i think your right about the peyssonnelia sp.
