its got a pretty vibrant blue tint to it with yellowish polyps(pic doesnt show true colors)... my question is what the heck is that tumor lookin thing on the side of it?

Type of Euphyllia would be my guess. Hard to tell from the picture.

I think people are getting confused... the coral with the yellow polyps is an SPS right? and you're thinking that the "tumor growth" might be some kind of soft coral? I'm just trying to clarify. But if what I am gathering is correct, and the coral is an sps with a growth, people have been asking this same thing in the sps forum. Do a search for it and a couple threads should pop up.
