What is this..??

Since the "Ask Dr. Ron" forum no longer exists, I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question.... What you'll be looking at is something that's been growing or rather slowly moving across a piece of LR that had some ric's attached to it... I'm not sure if it's invasive but it does seem to be causing some distress for two of the ricordia's... The top smaller "blob" has moved up from the larger "blob" over the course of a week or two... I'm assuming that it's some sort of sponge??

Any help would be most appreciated....

But should I be concerned about it..??? I have heard that some sponges can be "bad" ( for lack of a better term )... It's always been on the rock that the ric's came on... I just did not notice that it was moving before... You may also notice what looks like a "snorkle" coming out of the center of the "large" section... What's up with that??
