What is this

Found this on a rock attached by a zoo polip. Might be attached to it but it was far too brightly colored to be good.

I remedied it with tongs. I thought is was a worm but it looks more like an algae.

Its really hard to tell in that picture.

Google "Zoa eating nudibranch" google "reef flat worms" and see if either of those look like what you have there.
 
This could be it. Looks like there a good algae. Damm and I ripped it out. I only had one small tube but this image looks like it.

Interesting I got it after 7 years set up. Seems to like low nitrates and phosphates. And likes calcium. I got nitrates and phosphates to zero and now I'm dosing to raise calcium.

Halimeda is good. Only thing it is calcerous, so it will suck up some minerals. The other one posted looks like neomeris. Definitely problematic, LOL!
