What is this

I have a lot of these in a QT tank that's sitting idle waiting for new stock and I'm not sure what they are.

They are about 1/8 inch long and hang out on the glass.



What do you guys think? Good or bad?

They are very small question marks.

I posted the pic of the unknown residents of my quarantine tank with the first post and it stayed for a while then disappeared for who knows what reason. Here's a second pic. Let's see if this one holds.

I think this may be some sort of little worm that builds up a calcareous coating around it and stands out like little columns from rock surfaces but I'm not sure.
