What is this??

It was lurking around my corals, after work today I found one of my Kenya trees completely cut off at the base just hanging on by a small piece. I can't find anything on it but it looks like some sort of evil star fish.

I think I found what it is, is this the Crown of Thorns coral eating star fish. I removed it so it's no threat anymore. I saw it once before but couldn't get a grip on it.

It would explain why alot of my corals haven't had the best of luck. It's insane how it just snipped the Kenya in half. It's been in there for awhile because I haven't added anything in forever.
