I'm not sure if they came with the LR or grew up here. But if they came it is definitely growing. Hope it's a good discovery.

It looks somewhat like the tubes that tubeworms come out of?

Have you seen any activity at them?

My guess (its really just a guess) is its a turnicate or sea squirt or possibly sponge

My guess is some kind of tunicate..I have a couple little red ones under a couple rocks...once in a blue moon.. another will pop up somewhere..

Tunicate or sponge. I'm leaning more toward tunicate then sponge.

Thank you! So, I read and they seem to be a good creature to have, but are tiny and barely noticeable.
Do they grow to become a pretty focus point? How can I feed them?
Should I be careful it doesn't spread out of hand?

IMO.. don't worry about them and don't attempt to do anything special.. Just enjoy..
